With the changes shifting and the industrial revolution getting into full swing products became available for less money or effort than making things yourself.  But when you make things not for your own use then it needs to be traded or sold. But the beginnings of marketing hadn’t really developed yet. The mentality was pretty much if we can make it someone will buy it.  “Any customer can have a car painted any color that he wants so long as it is black. Henry Ford.  Initially the industrial revolution required steam for power and production was limited to areas where water was readily available.  With the adoption of electricity as a power these restrictions lessoned and even more production could be achieved. But this led to the next era.
